  5. Things to Know • No backup / restore feature • Learning curve for staff • Primarily due to navigation differences • Top three areas to Navigate QBO • Gear in the upper right • “+” sign at top center • Navigation bar on the left RootWorks.com

  6. Things to Know • Good fit for QBO • Small number of manually written checks • Debit / Credit Cards used frequently • Multiple bookkeepers • Payroll • is NOT being done by client in QBO • If currently doing payroll in ACS/CSA with Direct Deposit RootWorks.com

  9. Converting QB to QBO • Create QBO company • Identify the version of QB being used • Follow instructions based on the version selected RootWorks.com

  10. Converting QB to QBO - Special Case • Enterprise Edition • Create QBO company • In QB Enterprise • File > Utilities > Copy Company File for QuickBooks Online • If on a hosted solution copy OE.qbw file local • Use Internet Explorer • Select QuickBooks for Windows 2007 or earlier RootWorks.com

  11. QBO Wholesale Billing • Why • 50% discount for life of client • Providing a service to your clients • Clients can only obtain discounts temporarily • FYI • Bill is NOT detailed out by company RootWorks.com

  12. QBO Wholesale Billing • Requirements • You have setup a QBOA account with wholesale • QBO client in same region • QBO client has Active Subscription • Can NOT be on Simple Start • Existing QBO client cannot have payroll • You are the Master Admin • You are the Accountant user RootWorks.com

  13. QBO Wholesale Billing • Wholesale for a NEW QBO client • Create QBO company (select wholesale) • Import data if needed RootWorks.com

  14. QBO Wholesale Billing • Items needed for an Existing QBO client • Current QBO client Master Admin login credentials • Contact with current Master Admin • Access to QBOA accounts email • QBOA account login credentials RootWorks.com

  15. QBO Wholesale Billing • Process for an Existing QBO client • Transfer Master Admin rights to QBOA account • Add QBOA account as the Accountant User • Add company to wholesale (consolidated) bill RootWorks.com

  16. Memorized Transactions • Do NOT convert from QB Desktop • Recurring Transactions are the closest replacement RootWorks.com

  17. Connecting Financial Institutions • Some financial institutions charge for connection • The connections will eventually need to be reset/updated RootWorks.com
