CHUGD – CHES Some common issues and challenges for the future? • Issues for the future? • Geology → Geoscience → Earth Sciences → ? • Disparity in membership; big (i.e. research intensive) and smaller (i.e. teaching focussed) departments • More demands on HoDs time from their HEIs • Other groups/organisation may better serve interests of sub-groups of CHUGD members • How can we be more effective in promoting the interests of our members? • Would closer links with CHES help ?
