Tools in Action Following numerous meetings with MEPs: • 20 parliamentary questions tabled (3 this year) – helping to put political pressure on the Commission • 4 Written PQs in the pipeline • 4 MEPs have agreed to table a written PQ • 1 Oral question in the pipeline • EPP group agreed to put oral question to Commissioner in meeting to find solution first • EP Workshop on EIA • 20 April. Mme Rivasi, French Green Member of ENVI • An alliance of MEPs • willing to act on our behalf and relay our concerns to the Commission where and when needed.

  10. Further actions needed • Table written PQ’s • Demonstrate to the EC political will • Push for the Oral Question and debate at the right time • Put pressure on MEPs to table oral question in EP if meeting with EC • Meet and update them on the scientific consensus process • Invite MEPs to the EP workshop on the EIA – 20 April • Keep meeting MEPs and broaden geographical and political spread
