  2. Objectives Students will: • Use articles and demonstrative adjectives correctly. • Proofread for correct articles and demonstrative adjectives.

  3. Definitions • Articles • A special kind of adjectives. • They include: a, an, the. • “A” & “An” refer to any person, place, or thing. • “The” refers to a particular person, place, or thing.

  4. Rules • Use “a” before singular words that begin with a consonant sound. • A jet • A high step • A clock • A Christmas tree
