A Very Brief history of POdcasts 1980’s: ”Audio-blogging” arose with  broadband internet and digital playback devices like iPod. 2000: Core concepts were developed. 2001: First commercial podcast client software developed. 2004: Podcasts began to become popular. 2005: Apple added podcatching to iTunes software. 2008: iPhone 3G & Android G1 let listeners download audio files. 2014: This American Life’s Serial program.
