Local Leadership • GPUG Regional Chapters are led by local users who provide: • Overall leadership and specific “grass-roots” value to peers • Direction and decisions on applicable educational topics and meeting agendas • Guidance to GPUG • Meeting site, format, date suggestions • Local Meeting facilitators • Outstanding VALUE to themselves and local peers

Chair Responsibilities • To oversee Regional Chapter • Develops meeting objectives and plans • Coordinates dates, topics and sponsor needs with Deneen • Facilitates meetings or finds a facilitator • Collect and synthesize feedback to ensure members are finding value • Provides feedback to GPUG staff • “Knows what members want.” - Stays abreast Chapter membership for priorities, topics, programming, etc. • Looks for SME (Subject Matter Experts) who can present • Be a Premium Member – for access to information and understand GPUG experience

Vice Chair for Membership • Oversees chapter membership roster for accuracy and completeness • Collects and submits onsite meeting attendance • Polices appropriate conduct during meetings • Heads recruiting new members • Marketing to users where possible • Sample invite letter • Forwards on GPUG invite to other GP contacts & partners • Looking for SME (subject matter experts) to leverage

Vice Chair for Communication • Oversees communication to members • Manages LinkedIn Sub-group • Submit registration list to Deneen@GPUG.com • Maintains Chapter records • Prepare meeting summary/recap for the GPUG Magazine (include pictures, if applicable) • Meeting evaluation owner • Meeting note taker

  19. Partner Involvement • Best source for Subject Matter Experts • Best Practices • Have Partners submit topics they can cover in future meetings. • Partners Must Come with Users • Challenges You May Experience • Not a Sales Event! • Report violators to Kim@GPUG.com

  20. ISV Component • Users gain from education of complimentary solutions in a non-threatening environment • ISVs gain from building awareness of solutions to our community • Financial support when sponsoring (attendance is free for all)

  21. ISV Expectations When Sponsoring • 1 hour presentation • Logo on invite • Can bring materials, gifts for attendees • Follow up allowed with users who give permission • Premium ISVs can have unlimited meetings • Basic ISVs are allowed 1 meeting / year
