In countries worldwide, women are taking on more and more work, paid and unpaid, to cushion • the impact on families and communities, with little to show for it in terms of economic security or personal well-being • To change this downward spiral it is vital to empower women economically. Keeping this in view a vocational and skill development program “GuddiBaji”, • An initiative by ITA in collaboration with unilever and TEVTA focusing on the trade beautician has been launched. • The project mainly focuses to uplift the financial condition of women living in rural areas. • The project is empowering rural women and also give them opportunity to become financially independent and provides opportunity to have home based livelihood.

  3. 2012 Achievements. • 2012 Achievements… • 120 Girls( guddibajis)from ( FSD, CHAK JHUMRA, SAMUNDRI & TANDLIANWALA) Successfully passed out in 2012 and now these girls are earning a smart amount and living successful life. • Dm TEVTA awarded certificates to all these girls and appreciated this effort.

  4. 2012 Achievements. • 2012 Paid Group Achievements… • 140 Students has Successfully Passed FSD • 76 Girls from Samanabad Center Beautician 38 Girls Tailoring . • 26 students from Tandlianwala Successfully Passed out.

  5. Targets For GUDDI BAJI 2013 • ITA expand this program in other 3 more Towns of FSD … • DIJKOT. • JARANWALA • AMIN PUR BANGLAW • to provide a sustainable livelihood to the women of these towns..

  6. 2013 Achievements… • 64 Girls( guddibajis)from ( FSD, Ameenpur, Dijkot, Jaranwala) Successfully passed out in 2013 and now these girls are earning a smart amount and living successful life.

  7. 2012 Achievements. • 2013 Paid Group Achievements… • 126 Students has Successfully Passed FSD • 85 Girls from Samanabad Center Beautician 41 Girls Tailoring .

  8. Running Paid Group Center… • 25 Students in Dijkot Center • 30 students in Samanabad Center • Samundari , Jaranwala Center in Running Process

  9. Challenges • No Incentive for Samanabad center • Revised TEVET MOU Required • Salary for Trainer • Jaranwala Fee Issue • Certification Ceremony

  10. Challenges • Not Working Machinery for Tailoring Trade • Repairable Fans & water Tabs for Labs • Cosmatic required for TEVET

  12. EDT Program • TOT Training is Conducted in FSD • EDT training is Conducted in FSD and Chiniot Centers, (Dijkot, Jaranwala, Ameenpur, Kalowal, Rabwa)

  13. Suggestion • Technical Education for male (Auto Cad , Computer Courses etc) Specially in Model Village. • Paid Group & Shebaz Nagar
