Biochem Class and Blooms Taxonomy Biochem Class Activities: PROBLEMS and CASE STUDIES use the Higher Order Thinking Skills Biochem Problems (see selected End of Chapter Problems) involve two general areas: Chemical Structure problems: a. sequencing proteins and nucleic acids, b. solving 3-D structures of proteins and nucleic acids, and b. solving lipid and carbohydrate structures. Chemical problems involving calculations (solubility, pKa, enzyme kinetics, thermodynamics: ΔG, redox). NOTE: Calculations resulting in numbers are only RIGHT with their UNITS.

Be accountable first to yourself. Build your Biochem knowledge on what you got right. Work on the parts you got wrong…so that now you own this whole section or chapter ! 4. Do the EOC Problems….Class problems will be derived from the selected problems, and Case Studies rely on your problem solving skills that you are developing. Then come to CLASS and have fun DOING BIOCHEM.
