  9. Family Differences • Saudi women and children suffer the most in social and economic positions. • American children have freedom to be educated.

  10. Living Situations American Homes usually have one main entrance for every person, regardless of their sex. • Homes in Saudi Arabia have separate entrances and visitor rooms for men and women. Garage entrances and a door which leads to the family room. With many gates leading into one home.

  12. Marriage Traditions • Women have freedom in choosing who they want to marry. • Saudi women have arranged marriages. • The clothing must cover their body from head to toe.

  13. Consequences • If a Saudi woman tries to get away from her arranged marriage there are consequences. Such as brutal beatings or lashes until the girl surrenders.

  14. Middle East Jobs • Limited job selection • only CERTAIN areas tolerate women working with men United States Job range is bigger Allowed to work along side men.
