  2. Active sentence: Picasso pintó el Guernica. Passive sentence: El Guernica fue pintado por Picasso.

  3. HOW TO CHANGE AN ACTIVE VERBINTO A PASSIVE VERB 1.Use the verb SER in the same tense as in the active sentence. 2.Add the PARTICIPLEof the conjugated verb in the active sentence. In other words, the main verb of the active sentence is going to be used in the passive sentence as the participle. 2.1. You should remember that the participle is the form of the verb that normally ends in “-ado/-ido”. 3.The participle (the "-ado/-ido" form of the verb) will change to match the noun that it describes, which in a passive sentence is the passive subject.

  4. HOW TO CHANGE AN ACTIVE SENTENCE INTO A PASSIVE SENTENCE 1. The subject of the active sentence becomes the AGENTof the passive sentence. 1.1. The agent of the passive sentence is always marked by the preposition POR. 2. The direct object of the active sentence becomes the PASSIVE SUBJECTof the passive sentence. 3. The passive subject should match with the passive verbal form.
