  • The Most Common Duration of a CPD Course Completed Was One Day.

  • The Most Common Provider Was LSDA.

CPD Self Assessment

  • 14% of ES Tutors Do Not Feel Confident in Using and Working With the Core Curriculum.

  • 25% of ES Tutors Feel They Need to Know More About the Relationship Between the Initial Assessment Process and Planning for Learning.

  • 76% of ES Tutors Agreed, to Some Degree, That Their Use of ILT and / or ICT Required Further Development in Teaching Essential Skills.

  • 83% of ES Tutors Agreed to Some Degree That They Would Like an Opportunity to Explore How to Improve Assessment for Learning Strategies.

  • Majority of ES Tutors are Female and Aged Between 41-59

  • 55% of ICT Core Curriculum Training Within Last 2 Years

  • 90% Have Been Teaching 2 Years or More

  • Over 3/5 (61%) Employed in FE Sector

  • Over 3/4 (76%) Were Employed Straight After Reaching ES Tutor Status

  • Over 2/3 (69%) Not Currently Enrolled on Any CPD Courses

  • Majority (86%) of ES Tutors Are Confident in Working With the Core Curriculum

  • 76% Stated They Needed at Least Some Form of ILT or ICT Training

  • Same CPD Needs Raised Again
