  2. January • Late January • -Marilyn bought a small Spanish hacienda in Brentwood, CA • -She then hired Eunice Murray as her housekeeper because her doctor, Ralph Greenson, urged her to

  3. February • February 1 • -Attended a dinner in honor of Robert Kennedy • February • -Moved into new home in Brentwood • -Flew to Mexico with housekeeper to buy furniture and artifacts to decorate and furnish her new home

  4. March • March 5 • -Won Golden Globe Award for “World’s Favorite Female Star”

  5. April • April 23 • -Began filming work • on “Something’s • Got to Give”

  6. May • May 17 • -Left for New York for President John F. July • July 1 • -Last day of photo shoots with George Barris for Cosmopolitan • July 4-5, 7, 9 • -Began interview with Richard Merryman, her last interview • July 6 • -Photo shoot with Allan Grant for Life magazine • July • -Finished the three photo sessions she had with Bert Stern for Vogue • -Sees Dr. Ralph Greenson daily

  10. July con’t. • July 12 • -Meets FOX studio chiefs • July 20 • -Enters hospital at Cedars of Lebanon for abortion • July 28 • -Stayed at Cal-Neva Lodge for the weekend

August • August 1 • -FOX replaced former director of “Something’s Got to Give”, George Cukor, with Jean Negulesco Marilyn’s ecstatic because she directed her in “How to Marry a Millionaire” which was a hit • -FOX signed new contract with her, giving her a $250,000/picture salary-twice her current salary • August 3 • -Had dinner with personal publicist, Pat Newcomb, and Peter Lawford in Beverly Hills • August 4 • -Had a six-hour sessions with Dr. Greenson
