  1. Dorm Life

  2. Healthy There are a number of ways to live a more healthy life for example: - Cleaning after yourself - Eating healthy foods. - - Being considerate of others.

  3. Academics In a case study many students who live on campus in a dorm perform better academically than those who live off. This is due to the things they need for example, the library, in which is a close communal dwelling for the students. - Most of the students live in the dorms their first year as it is required in most of the schools in the U.S.

  4. Noise a majority of the students believe that dorms are more noisier as they claim many of the students who are academically inclined tend to pull together in to groups and stay up late nights in the hallway or on the first floor.

  5. Security Many students claim that living in a university dorm is safer because of the tight security that is provided from the on campus police and other advisors who head that housing department. - For example, an RA helps other students with anything they need. -

  6. The Roommate from Hell There are plenty of times when others complain about their roommate being awkwardly rude or disrespectful. In this case, many times these students prefer living on their own after having previously endured such an event.

  7. Fraternities and Sororities However, most of the students who live in communal dwellings of this nature spend their time outside of the dorms for example, in fraternities or sororities. - at NYU approximately 7% join these organizations.

  8. Bathrooms Lastly, most students do not prefer the bathrooms inside the University dorms as I asked around a number of students, the majority answered with no while the other did not mind and a few said yes.
