Know yourself… • What kind of a student are you? • Working under pressure vs. Working with deadlines • Do you need to have a quiet space to work? • Do you work better with some background noise? • Do you work better by sitting down and completing a task or do you need breaks? • Academic breaks • Research breaks • Organization breaks

Step 1: Believe in Yourself • Believe you can do anything • First set a goal • Goals hand out • Can be personal or academic • Build a plan • Set small deadlines that you can accomplish • Give yourself some room for error • Stay confident and stick to the plan • Once your plan is complete, access how you did as a person and think about things you can improve upon

  4. Step 2: Be Organized • Organization makes you a more efficient student and person • Being organized can reduce stress and frustration • Responsibilities for 8th grade: • Visiting Schools • Completing applications • Test prep (Saturdays) • Clubs & Activities • Graduating

  5. Step 4: Being Successful in Class • Adapting to Different Teachers • Be Aware of Your Body Language • Be a Good Group Member • Take responsibility for your grades
