What different degrees are available? • B.A. in Dance, Drama, Music, Studio Art, and Arts and Humanities • B.F.A. in Dance with specialization in Performance or Choreography • B.F.A. in Music Theatre • B.Mus. In Music Performance with specialization in Guitar/Lute, Piano, Voice and Winds, Percussion and Strings. • The Claire Trevor School of the Arts has 4 (major) departments: DANCE, DRAMA, MUSIC, and STUDIO ART. • Minor programs in DIGITAL ARTS and STUDIO ART.

ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS • Students must submit a UC application (by deadline). • Number of college preparatory courses completed. • Academic grade point average (max. of 8 honors grade points). • Scores on the SAT Reasoning Test (or ACT Assessment plus Writing) and two SAT Subject Tests. • Evidence of creative achievement or substantial public service.

FINANCIAL info. • Aid • Available art scholarships and fellowships: • Examples:Eana Helen Beach Scholarship- provides $1,000/year for incoming freshmen & transfer students.Kris and Linda Elftmann Scholarship- $3,000 for outstanding students. • Tuition • In-state tuition & fees- $11,913 • Out-of-State tuition & fees- $34,792.

  5. CAREERS Dance Positions in Ballet- Teach courses in all levels. Salary: Commensurate with experience Academic requirements: MFA/MA in Dance & university teaching experience are desirable. Positions in Contemporary Dance- Teach courses in all levels. Salary: Commensurate with experienceAcademic requirements: MFA in Dance or professional experience in choreography & teaching dance technique. Music Position: Lecturer Part- Time Salary: Commensurate with experience. Minimum qualifications: Include a Bachelors degree or equivalent and appropriate professional experience including teaching.

The Dance, Drama, Music, and Studio Art programs provide dedicated studies of the visual and performing arts. This school would be a great selection for one who lives locally in Irvine, California. Also, it is ranked by US News & World Report one of the top 10 in the United States, therefore being a great school to attend at.
