  3. Capital and Population • The capital of the United Kingdom is London, England. • The population is 59 million people.

  4. Language and Climate • People from the UK speak a variety of different languages. They speak English (official language), Welsh, Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi, and Gaelic. • The climate is temperate.

  5. Food • Breakfast: • Eggs, bacon, bangers (sausage), fried bread, mushrooms, and baked beans. • Lunch: • Fish and chips • Dinner: • Roast pork • Between lunch and dinner time • People from the UK like to have tea time.
