BEQ Initiative • Acquisition Strategy: East Coast & West Coast Contracts with Options and Escalation through FY09; • Pros: • Will attract large contractors • Optimize economy of scale • May significantly increase speed of delivery • Creates opportunity for less risk in pricing • Cons: • Potential bonding capacity issue for other than the largest contractors • Reduces/Eliminates Small Business prime contractor opportunity
