Characteristics of relevant current (policy) developments Increase participation LLL-target group in HEI’s Services provided for LLL-target group: formal and non-formal education & training RPL-procedures Use of NLQF Flexible learning pathways: content, organisation, guidance and assessment Work based learning and e-learning LLL-services related to innovation and research & development in co-operation with businesses

  4. Government expectations re. SCHE and flexibility ‘Bridging the gap’ between SVET (up to level 4) and bachelor’s degree (level 6) Improve accessibility of UAS Increase participation in HE Attract target group working adults Increase flexibility: co-operation with businesses use of work based learning and e-learning use of RPL and NLQF => tailor made, flexible learning pathways

Consequences for UAS (1) Increase flexibility and diversity in ‘knowledge services’ formal and non formal formal: ad, ba, ma use of RPL and NLQF; accumulation, transfer of credits meet demands and characteristics of adult learners Increase market- & customer orientation and expertise Attract more adult (working) learners
