KEY METRICS • Baby Boomers are born between the years of 1946 - 1964 • Baby Boomers in Canada make up 28.6% of the population • The average age of retirees in Canada is 62.9 • The amount of Baby Boomers that are Separated is over 400,000 • The amount of Baby Boomers that are divorced is over 1.4 million • In the most recent survey from stats Canada over 1.5 million Baby Boomers are single.

WHAT WE DO • How it works? • You fill out a short online survey • We send you upcoming group meetings in your area and you select the ones you want to attend • We are an online site that takes the work out of meeting new people. We hand pick other members and the events catered around your personality and interests. We arrange fun group activities (i.e. wine tasting, salsa class, bowling, restaurants). You have the option to bring friends, your partner or come by yourself! It is an opportunity to meet new people, try new things, and most importantly have fun! • We arrange everything and you just show up! • It’s a hassle and pressure free environment

  4. WHY THE SOCIAL BOOMER? • We take the work out of meeting new people • There is no judgments or pressure before going out to an arranged activity • You can try new things and increase your social group • You will meet new people with similar interests and of a similar age

MARKETING AND ADVERTISING • Word of mouth advertising- incentives for referring friends • Radio Advertising ( 104.5 CHUM FM, Q107, 94.1 CBC Radio, 97.3 BOOM, 98.1 CHFI, 95.3 Fresh FM) • Baby Boomers listen to approx. 21.5hrs per week of radio • Online advertising • Flyers and newspaper ads • Joint ventures and partnerships with other organizations and event companies

WHY WE WILL BE SUCCESSFUL? • Our competitors Match.com, OurTime, eHarmony, and Grouper are only specific to dating and meeting new people • The Social Boomer is accepting of Boomers of all martial status who are looking to get out and be social. • 2nd Immutable Law of Marketing: If you can’t be first in a category, set up a new category you can be first in. • Our revenue will come from our membership fees: $20 a month or $80 dollars for 6 months • We also offer a $0.99 smart phone app that will keep members updated on events going on around them.
