3. Small Customer • Piggyback Narragansett’s Program • 100 kw or less of electrical demand • Pay 75% of cost/balance on electric bill • Use RISE as contractor of record • Pay RISE for additional analysis of heating system • Offer incentives for cost effective boiler efficiencies

4. Sample of Potential Measures • Temperature and boiler controls • Burner replacement • EMS controls • Steam trap replacements • Boiler,furnaces or water heater • Incentives for measures - $3000 per building or 25% of installed costs

6. ESCO Program • List from Narragansett Electric • Letters to 1300 potential customers • Prequalify customers • RFQ to ESCO’s (11 responded) • Allocate customers to ESCO’S • Ie. 20 ESCO’s –100 buildings=5 each

7. ESCO’s Continued • Create common data base for ESCO’s to share • Bids for customers must include at least one boiler initiative • Multiple bids for customers

8. Current Stats • Approximately 150 private facilities • Over 100 State facilities • 4 ESCO’s selected • Awaiting Purchasing letters of intent • May need more ESCO’s • Workshop for facilities

9. Advantages • Buildings pre-qualified • Marketing done by SEO • ESCO’s only have to do limited auditing , yet have access to bid on all buildings
