  3. How many “Vegetables and Fruit” servings should you eat daily?

  4. Depending on your age, the answer is….

  5. A Food Guide vegetable or fruit serving is: • 125 ml (½ cup) of fresh, frozen or canned vegetables or fruits or 100% fruit juice; • 250 ml (1 cup) of cooked or raw leafy vegetables; • 1 fruit.

  6. To increase your vitamin and fibre intake: • Eat vegetables and fruit instead of drinking juice; • Eat at least one dark green vegetable and oneorangevegetable daily.

  7. Examples: Dark green vegetables: Asparagus, broccoli, romaine lettuce, green beans, spinach Orange vegetables: Carrots, squash, sweet potatoes

  8. Someorange fruitcan replace orange vegetables. Examples: • Peach • Nectarine • Apricot • Cantaloupe • Mango • Papaya

  9. Live a colourfullife. • Eat vegetables and fruit!
