Research Background Rice availability in Indonesia is very important Imbalance between supply and demand in the market Apply communication information system on web based system to provide accurate information with respect to production amount and rice price all over rice product centers in Indonesia

  7. Current Research Stage • Making rice price behavioral model, to be implemented in an application server (core layer). • Model has been identified on variables/ factors which influence rice price behavioral pattern

Conclusions • System offers many benefits not only for producers but also the society at large. • System requires cooperation, smooth & secure information exchange among related departments / institutions • Major constraint comes from the institutions’ un-readiness to cooperate & exchange data.

Future Research Stage • Computer literacy program to NGO’s that will give feedback to the system (training, facility, internet accessibility) • Technical assistance program for peasant by NGO’s • Implementation of application program on a application & web server, placed preferably in BULOG (National Logistic Depot) office. • Some suggestions : …
