Easy recording the greeting message

Old Specification

The subscriber should do the complicated key-operation to record the greeting message as follows.

[5][0][0]+[password][#]+[3][1][1]  Recording No-answer greeting

[5][0][0]+[password][#]+[3][3]  Recording Owner’s name

We can not register Quick Dial to make the simple operation for recording the greeting message, because we have to dial the personal password just after accessing the VPS. But for example, most of the guests of the hotel does not know such operation.

I have to listen to the guidance to record the greeting message.

Operation :

Call VM + [#][9][1] + [password][#]

Option command : Restriction of these short-cut keys

OPTN 14,1  Enable (These short-cut keys do not work)

OPTN 14,255  Disable (Default)

OPTN -i,14  Confirmation of setting

This function does not work with VM Menu.

We can register Quick Dial To make the simple operation for recording the greeting message.

All subscriber only press [*][1] or [*][2] and the password.

The owner of the hotel does not like that the guests operate the functions except listening to the message. The owner want to restrict other functions.

However the VPS can not stop other functions.

For other features, press 6

This function can be used with the short-cut keys ([#91] or [#92]) at the same time.

Creating the mailbox automatically at 2:00AM

New Specification

The new command allows you to create the mailboxes by the auto configuration at 2:00 AM.

Option command : Auto configuration at the midnight

OPTN 15,1  Enable (Executing the auto configuration at 2:00 AM)

OPTN 15,255  Disable (Default : Normal mode)

OPTN -i,15  Confirmation of setting

If somebody is accessing to the VPS, the attempt of this day skips.

The mailbox #150 is automatically created.

Creating the mailbox automatically at 2:00AM

Matters that require attention

  • The VPS can not answer the incoming call during executing the auto configuration.
  • We recommend removing the unnecessary extension numbers from the PBX, because the auto configuration creates the unnecessary mailbox. The unnecessary mailboxes come back at the midnight, even if you remove the unnecessary mailbox from the VPS.
