  2. I was sittin’ on a fence post Chewin’ on my bubble gum (students make chewing sounds).

  3. Playing with my yo-yo.Do-wop, Do-wop, Do-Wop, Do-Wop. When along came Herman the worm and Herman was this big (use finger and thumb to show how big).

  4. I said “Herman, what happened?” And Herman said, “Duhhhhh, I swallowed a bug.” A bug! Ooh, yuck! And along went Herman the worm.

  5. The next day, I was sittin’ on the fence post, Chewin’ on my bubble gum (students make chewing sounds).

  6. Playing with my yo-yo.Do-wop, Do-wop, Do-Wop, Do-Wop. When along came Herman the worm and Herman was this big (use both hands to show how big).

  7. I said “Herman, what happened?” And Herman said, “Duhhhhh, I swallowed a kitty cat. A kitty cat! Ooh, yuck! And along went Herman the worm.

  8. The next day, I was sittin’ on the fence post, Chewin’ on my bubble gum (students make chewing sounds).
