  4. Dynamic rating Cdyn of a rolling bearingis the load that will probably start damage to 10% of a large population of bearings after one million rotations.

  5. Dynamic rating Cdyn of a rolling bearingis the load that will probably start damage to 10% of a large population of bearings after one million rotations. For balls the life increase is the load decrease raised to the power 3.0.

  6. Dynamic rating Cdyn of a rolling bearingis the load that will probably start damage to 10% of a large population of bearings after one million rotations. For balls the life increase is the load decrease raised to the power 3.0. For rollers the life increase is the load decrease to the power 3.3

  7. Dynamic rating Cdyn of a rolling bearingis the load that will probably start damage to 10% of a large population of bearings after one million rotations. For balls the life increase is the load decrease raised to the power 3.0. For rollers the life increase is the load decrease to the power 3.3 Half load = 10 times life

  8. SKF say that only 1% of bearings fail for that reason. They now also quote a fatigue load for infinite life. Most fail because of their seals.

  9. Hydrostatic bearings

  10. Q = flow m3/sec P = Pressure N/m2 W = slit width h = slit gap d= pipe diameter S = triangle side L = length all in metres

  11. Viscous force F = Area . Velocity . Absolute viscosity gap But remember that viscosity is a strong function of temperature
