  3. PROJECT GOAL To hasten the economic recovery of Yolanda-affected municipalities particularly the marginalized sectors, by spurring economic activities through increased tourist arrivals and spending thus creating more investments and job opportunities for the local people.

RESULTS WE WANT TO ACHIEVE Increased investment opportunities for local and foreign investors Increased employment opportunities for local residents Increased livelihood opportunities for women, fisherfolks and cultural communities Enhanced enabling environment on tourism development of the LGUs in NI Increased tourist arrivals in Northern Iloilo destinations Enhancing tourism products /services and promotional strategies (Component 1) Enhancing the quality of service of tourism service providers (Component 2) Enhancing LGU capacity to develop & promote tourism in Northern Iloilo integrating GAD & DRRCCA (Component 3)

Component 1 Deliverables • Development and enhancement of tourism and ancillary products and services • New tour packages • New / Improved souvenir products • Improvement of promotional strategies to market tourism products and services • Reproduction of promo collaterals • Destination branding • Participation to fairs • Implementation of Innovation Fund for MSMEs

Component 2 Deliverables • Skills development of middle managers & service workers on: • Effective Customer service • Food preparation and service / housekeeping and bartending • Negotiation / Influencing Others • Communication • Personality Development • Rights of Workers • Anti-sexual harassment and anti-human trafficking laws • Occupational safety and health

Component 3 Deliverables • Conduct of baseline survey on project indicators for efficient project M&E • Capacity development to strengthen tourism database • Formulation/Enhancement and Enactment of Tourism Development Plans and Tourism Codes integrating GAD and DRR-CCA • Monitoring of Streamlined Business Permitting System • Updating of Cost of Doing Business • Enhancement of LGU Website
