Legal Framework • 1998- Establishment of “Ioannina Biomedical Research Institute” (IBRI) as an autonomous Institute, under the auspices of General Secretariat for Research and Technology, Ministry of Development • 2001- Merger with “Foundation for Research and Technology-Hellas” (FORTH) New legal name: “Biomedical Research Institute / Foundation for Research and Technology-Hellas” (BRI-FORTH) • 1-1-2002- Financial & Administrative merger with FORTH
