  • Development of location specific packages of agronomic practices in organic farming based on local agro biodiversity, climatic regime and sustainability is needed.

  • R & D is required to enhance shelf life of bio-pesticides and bio-agents.

  • Organic farming inputs need to be standardized and validated.

  • Subsidy is required for certification of organic produce as well as for providing organic farming inputs like microbial inocula and bio-pesticides.

  • NATP-II programme need to be initiated in Uttaranchal.

  • Light weight power tillers need to be developed for reduction of drudgery of hill women.
