Addressing the Topic of Meth Addiction with a Loved One When confronting a person about their addiction problem, many have the reasonable fear of provoking a negative or even violent reaction from the person they are trying to help. It is very commonplace to be anxious and uncertain when having to discuss someone's drug abuse problems, but there is good news on that front: various programs are available to guide a person through the process and help them manage their words, emotions and expectations. For instance, there is the Community Reinforcement and Family Training program, referred to as CRAFT, and over the years it has proven itself to have a successful method to help people convince their loved ones to seek treatment; their approach is focused on positivity, support and understanding above all.
