  4. The first Tim Hortons restaurants offered only two products - coffee and donuts • These donuts were the apple fritter and the dutchie. They became the most popular donut choices in the 1960’s and still are today • The growth of chain’s into the 1980's brought a bunch of new products: muffins (1981), cakes (1981), pies (1982), croissants (1983), cookies (1984), and soups & chili (1985) • Tim Hortons opened its first restaurant in the States in 1984 in Tonawanda, New York • And since the company has expanded into nine other states: Indiana, Maryland, Kentucky, Maine, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia. • Tim Horton’s has become the most successful franchise in Canada’s market today Fun Facts…(They’re not really Fun though)

  5. TIM HORTON Born on January 12th , 1930 in Cochrane, Alberta. Died the morning of February 21st , 1974 in a car accident on his way back from a game. He lived a very full, successful life. Playing for the Toronto Maple Leafs for 17 full seasons and 3 partial seasons. He was signed in 1949 and was one of the steadiest defensemen in his 20+ years in the NHL. He also played for the New York Rangers before being traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins. His last few years in hockey was with the Buffalo Sabres, and he was said to have played a major role in developing the team's younger players. He also played on four Stanley Cup teams, was an All-Star player six times, and was honored in 1969 with the J.P. Bickell Memorial Cup in recognition of his outstanding service to the Toronto Maple Leafs Hockey Club.
