  21. RAR Moved to WorkPlan in FY2013 Washington Office, March 1-3, 2011

  22. RAR Moved to WorkPlan in FY2013 • Enter Accomplishments Quarterly • Enter accomplishments in individual Plans • Core BLIs include CMRD, CMLG, CMII, HTER,ERBA, CFLR, NFRR, etc. • Use OTHR BLI for Cooperator Work • Integrated Accomplishments • Enter in Timber Sale or Stewardship Workplans Washington Office, March 1-3, 2011

  23. GARP – Geospatial Accomplishment Reporting Program • Phase 1 includes Road Decommissioning (Both System and Unauthorized Roads) and AOP. • We will likely have to move toward mandating use of the Road Maintenance Planning Module (RMP) in the next few years. • System Road Decommissioning is relatively easy – if we use RMP. • Unauthorized roads are not required to be entered into Infra, nor placed on the GIS coverage. • Watershed folks are tracking this in the Watershed Improvement Tracking (WIT) system. • We need to work with watershed folks so we’re not duplicating effort. • They may already be putting these in GIS. • Consider allowing them to enter the tabular data in Infra. Washington Office, March 1-3, 2011

  24. New Road Use Permit & Application Form • Need for a permit to allow for: • Use of a Road, Trail or Area not designated for use on an MVUM or closed by order. Fire closure, mineral use, etc • Oversize or overweight vehicles. • Non-Federal Commercial Use • Maintain or plow snow on an NFSR • Permit Application Forms • FS-7700-40 Application For a Permit for Use of Roads, Trails and Areas Restricted by Regulation or Order (Base Application) • FS-7700-40a Commercial Use Attachment • FS-7700-40b Oversize Vehicle Attachment. State or local forms can also be used. • Permit Forms • FS-7700-41 Non-Federal Commercial Road Use Permit. • Non-Federal Commercial Use • Maintaining or Plowing snow on an NFSR • FS-7700-48 Permit for Use of Roads, Trails and Areas Restricted by Regulation or Order. • All other uses. • OMB requires count of Forms completed. • Hoping e-forms will do this for us. • May need to require Regions to send us numbers starting next year. Washington Office, March 1-3, 2011

  25. New Random Sample Methodology • For the last few years we have reporting DM on just Passenger Car Roads • Sean Puckett with the Volpe Center helped develop a new methodology for this. • Only Sample Passenger Car Roads. • 340 segments • Stratified by Region based on proportion of PC system in that region. Washington Office, March 1-3, 2011
