Review of:In-Class Team Exercise # 10 Design a 3 x 2 Factorial Experiment (draw a Table) You Must Use These IVs: • Group Size (Use 3 Levels, S, M, L, but choose the # in each) • Type of Conferencing (Pick 2: Audio, Video, Text, Chat, FtF) Write out 2 Hypotheses (H1, H2): H1: One Predicting the Effect of Group Size on Group Consensus H2: One Predicting the Effect of Type of Conferencing on Group Consensus Declare the DV (You Choose – They Are in Your H1, H2) • E.g., User Satisfaction, Quality of Solution, Time Efficiency Label the 2 IVs and Label Their Levels List (at least) 2 Variables you Should “Control for”

  3. Informal Team Exercise Which is the One Best Hypothesis predicting the impact of the “type of conferencing” used? H1: The larger the group, the more often video conferencing is used. H2: When video conferencing is used, people will learn more quickly. H3: It will take longer to reach consensus using video conferencing than audio conferencing. H4: The less people use video conferencing, the less money it costs.

Write out 2 Hypotheses (H1, H2): • One Predicting Effects of IV 1, the other the Effects of IV 2 Declare the DV (It is in Your H1, H2) • I’ll give you the one you MUST use: Speed of Reading Label the 2 IVs and Label Their Levels List Two “People” Variables You Should “Control for”
