    2. What is an interview? An interview allows an employer to assess how well you fit with the position and organization Provides you with more information about the job Creates an opportunity to convince an employer that your skills, experience, and education are the perfect fit!

    3. How can I be successful? Preparation is essential. Know what you have to offer. Know your resume. Be prepared to offer specific examples of achievements and strengths. Anticipate questions. Rehearse your answers to questions employers may ask. Research the company. Familiarize yourself with what they do.

    4. At the interview Dress professionally. Wearing a suit shows your respect for the company. Bring extra copies of your resume. Arrive 10 minutes early. Smile, offer a firm handshake, and maintain eye contact. Communicate clearly and concisely. Be positive when referring to former employers.

    5. Wrapping up the interview Prepare some questions for the employer. Your questions provide an opportunity to display your knowledge and interest. Reiterate your interest in the position Thank the employer for their time.

    6. After the interview Make notes about what occurred during the interview. Review your performance. Were any questions difficult to answer? Write a follow-up letter. Thank the interviewer and emphasize positive points.
