  1. Glyph Assignment On a poster board write what a standard MLA paper should include and label it “How to write an MLA paper” Include what we have discussed in class What type of format does an MLA paper require? (Think of what we went over in Microsoft Word). What is considered a valid source for an MLA paper? How do we give credit to where we received our information from? What type of language should you use? (what should you avoid saying? How should you refer to your topic?)

  2. When you have written down the rules of an MLA paper do the following… • If your research paper contained at least one print (book) source draw and label a picture of a book on your poster. • If your research paper contained valid sources of information (i.e. you used .edu, .org. and .gov) high light the rule “Include valid sources of information” in GREEN and draw a computer screen. • If your research paper include in text citations, write “include in text citations” on your poster board in PURPLE • If your research paper was about a historical event, organization, person, or object, draw and label a representation of your topic on your poster board (next to choose a topic). • If your paper included a properly formatted “Works Cited” page, write “Include a Works Cited page” in RED on your poster. • If I complimented on your introduction your paper write “Attention Grabber” in Blue on your poster. • If you received a 5 under “Write” on your rubric, draw a big golden/yellow star at the top of your poster • If you received a 5 under “Include” on your rubric, place a smiley face on your poster board • If you received a 5 under “Format” on your rubric, draw a Black and Yellow boarder around your poster.
