  2. Activity Purpose: What is an Inference? • Used as an activity to pre-teach inferencing • We use “clues” and “what we know” to make an inference

How Activity Works • Give students premade flashcards with situations/actions (maybe include weekly vocabulary) • Example: “The treasurer is stealing the King’s money” • Inform students of the vocabulary word • Student actor(s) act(s) out the situation on the card and classmates make inferences to guess the situation and the vocabulary word
