Plot • The book is about three sisters named April, May, and June . April is the oldest , May is the middle child, and June is the youngest. Their names are the months they were born they are all a year and a month apart!!! April can tell the future , May can disappear when ever she wants, and June can read minds.
Plot • They get in fights and they become closer sisters through all of their rough times and good times there is a lot of both. But having “special talents” isn't all that easy!!!You see April can tell the future, but she only see’s bit’s of it leaving her wondering what may happen so trying to be a good sister she tries to save her family from any harm.
Plot • As for May she can’t always control when she disappear’s and reappears which leads her to some major trouble. • June can only read what she thinks you are thinking. So if you put up a guard she can’t read your mind. • All of these problems makes it hilarious to read.
Author and Genre • The Authors name is Robin Benway • The genre is a mix between adventure, and realistic fiction, because every page is filled with adventure but it is also a realistic fiction story because it is so realistic that you feel like you are in the story!!!! (Of course you have to ignore the fact that they have special talents that almost nobody else has!!!)
Main Characters • The main characters: are April (the oldest child) • May (the middle child) • June (the youngest child) • Henry (May’s tutor) • Julian (April’s boyfriend) • Mariah (the popular girl, June’s best friend) • Avrey (the mysterious girl) • Blake (Mariah’s now ex-boyfriend) • the mysterious girl
Setting • The book takes place in the 21st century . The girls just moved from Orange County California to the valley of LA . They are valley girls!!!
Just right scale • 4 because it was a bit challenging but not over challenging. It was a bit over a just right book for me. There were a lot of cussing words and words that I don’t understand.
What did I like? • I liked that Robin Benway got all three sisters point of view. You can understand the book better that way.
What attracted me to this book! • Was the front cover, and title . I like books that have exciting, or interesting front covers or titles. That is what brings me in to a story, and mostly I love the story that is what happened to this story!!!!
What I didn’t like or want to change • I would change all the cussing it makes it a unfriendly kids book but because I don't swear I was aloud to read it with my moms super vision.
Would I recommend this book to anyone?To who? Why? • I would recommend this book to girls who read young adult or teen books. The book is quite powerful and I would recommend asking your parents for permission to read it.
Information about Robin Benway • Robin grew up in Orange County California. She attended college at both NYU, and UCLA. At NYU she won the Seth Barhas prize for her fiction books
