  12. A Giant First Step • On 14 April 2006: • ANU became a Founding Partner in GMT • Signed MoU • Paid entry fee • Has two GMT Board seats • Negotiating Legal Agreement • Expect to raise 5-10% of DDP funds Next Step :Leverage ANU entry to full AU entry

Intermediate Step • Week beginning 26 June 2006 : • ANU Vice Chancellor chooses • Matthew Colless as second ANU-appointed representative to GMT Board • Begins the transition to eventual ARA+ANU co-partnership via an approach already approved by the GMT Board Chair Next Step :Develop MoU for co-partnership that GMT agreement can accommodate
