  2. Why the meeting? • To inform you that we have begun services • To familiarize you with terminology • To share the plan • To inform you about an important meeting on November 20th @ 6pm, where we would like your input on improving our plan

  3. Background information • Title I targeted school • This means we have a list of students who may receive services • Parents may elect to refuse services • Applying for school wide • This means anyone can benefit

  4. How was the list created? • Free and reduced lunch • PSSA scores for last year’s grades 3-8 (which is this year’s 4th-9th) • DIBELs from grades k-3 • Individually tested by Ms. Dull

  5. What is the plan? • Grades K-4 • 10:35am-11:40am • 30 minutes • 1 time per week • ELO – provide more services; ELO occurs every day • Grades 5-6 • 9:40am-10:30am • 20 minutes • 2 times per week • Grades 7-8 • 12:45pm-1:45pm • 30 minutes • 2 times

  6. Information coming with report cards • Parent Compact • Please read, sign, and return to Mrs. Leydig as soon as possible • If you wish to refuse services, please check the box on the Parent Compact • Parent Right to Know • How to obtain information about teacher certifications

  7. What can you do? • Assist your child with homework • Notify Ms. Dull if you notice improvement or have a concern • Plan to attend the Parent Input Meeting on November 20th at 6:00pm • Spread the word! • PowerPoint and Audio available on HHCS website under Title I
