Mercredi le 19 mars 2014 Between 1802 and 1804, under the reign of Napoleon 1st- a nine-arch metallic bridge for pedestrians was constructed at the location of the present day Pont des Arts: this was the first metal bridge in Paris. I The bridge has sometimes served as a place for art exhibitions, and is today a studio en plein air for painters, artists, or photographers who are drawn to its unique point of view. The Pont des Arts is also frequently a spot for picnics during the summer. n recent years, many tourist couples have taken to attaching padlocks with their first names written or engraved on it to the railing or the grate on the side of the bridge, then throwing the key into the Seine river below, as a romantic gesture.This gesture is said to represent a couple's committed love.

His brief career influenced the development of such artistic movements as Futurism, Cubism, Dadaism, and Surrealism, and the legend of his personality—bohemian artist, raconteur, gourmand, soldier—became the model for the avant-garde. In this poem, he speaks with lyyrics and a melancholy charm of simple emotions while innovating the absence of punctuation.

  11. A calligram is a poem phrase, or word in which the typeface, calligraphy or handwriting is arranged in a way that creates a visual image. The image created by the words expresses visually what the word, or words, say. In a poem, it manifests visually the theme presented by the text of the poem. Guillaume Apollinaire was a famous calligram writer and author of a book of poems called Calligrammes. His poem written in the form of the Eiffel Tower is an example of a calligram.
