  2. Fish to eat and not to eat • Shouldn’t eat • Large Mouth Bass • White Perch • Pickerel • Walleye • Small Mouth Bass • You should try not to eat these fish if caught in Maine waters • Should eat- • Brook trout • Landlocked salmon But limit those two fish to once a month

  3. Mercury what it does to the Environment • There are many problems mercury causes to the environment • Some of these things it affects are: Fish, Humans, and global warming

  4. How are large amounts of Mercury made? • Mercury is usually present in Industrial situations • Also it is often present with developing country's

  5. Mercury Run Off • Mercury run off from factory’s often runs into a stream or river. • That would cause the fish in the river to become dangerous to eat. • The run of would then finally reach the ocean

  6. Maine’s water • Did you know nearly all of Maine’s rain water contains mercury and acid. • A lot has been done to cut back on mercury emissions in Maine • When one digests mercury, the mercury attacks the nervous-system of the body
