Meetings • Staff Governors’ Meetings (Dan & Brian present) • Meetings with Mary & Andrew • Sector Meetings – east, central, west, camhs, speciality. • Sub-Group meetings • Meeting Candidates/interviews • Hot Topics, Open meetings with Chair/CEO • Attend Functions organised by Public Governors, Communications • Council of Governors, APM • Visit other Trusts, attend conferences

STAFF GOVERNOR PLEDGE WE ARE THE VOICE OF OUR STAFF ENSURE: • ENGAGEMENT/CONSULTATION • INVESTMENT IN ALL STAFF Training/Education, working conditions/career pathway • VALUE ALL STAFF • PROVIDE THE BEST QUALITY OF SERVICE We work very closely with Paul & Lisa. Monitoring tools: Service User & Staff survey

STAFF GOVERNORS • Staff do not appear to understand fully the role of staff governors. • Staff still come with operational or personal issues – we direct them to the right personnel • Staff engagement with Governors – room for improve • Our names have been widely publicised – poster in each area • We work as Multi-Professional Team • Many staff attended Members Meeting in Colchester and Stigma Conference.

STAFF GOVERNORSDiscussions at Constitution Review Group • Is this fair representation considering numbers, geographical areas? • Nursing, Medical, Social Care staff have professional identity, close working opportunities, meet regularly, easily identifiable. • Lack of identity – Non Clinical and Other Clinical. Reflects negative value system • Do we need more staff governors, if yes: classification, Legal standards, duplications?

  8. STAFF GOVERNORS IN FUTURE • STAFF GOVERNORS WILL HAVE MORE RESPONSIBILITIES DUE TO THE FACT THAT THEY HAVE GOOD WORKING KNOWLEDGE (Recent conference in Cambridge)

STAFF GOVERNORSFINALLY We appreciate the support that we get from Dan and Brian Mary and Andrew Board Members and Directors Communications Public Governors and Dermot We feel we are being listened to, involved and valued. We are an envy of other Trust staff Governors - (Recent Staff Governors Conference in Cambridge)
