FT MEADE CIVILIAN TESTING HISTORY • Application sent to RTI 19 Sept 2000 • Eligibility notification 10 Oct 2000 • Third set of PTs and first Civilian Inspection March 2001 • Revised Inspection and PT Program April 2001 • Validation of Collection kits and CCF July 2001 • Certification granted OCT 2001-Testing begins • Dept of Army Civilians only customers until Spring of 2005

  19. IMPACT • Forced staffing changes • 3rd shift • Additional personnel requirements- overhired in most sections. • Designated civilian testing teams • Civilian Specimens priority over military • Shifted Military Workload • Improved Customer Service

  20. SHORT-TERM OBJECTIVES • Improve Customer Service • Track forms and kits • Increase volume of kits and forms available • Improve feedback on Discrepancies • Certify Dr Haak as additional RP (Dr Schatz vacancy) • Expand Testing to Additional Agencies • Solicit additional DoD customers

  21. LONG-TERM OBJECTIVES • Reorganize Laboratory into two separate divisions- military and civilian • Staffing Reorganization • Facility Renovations • Certify Additional RP • Comply with New Validity Testing Criteria • Confirm Procedures • Expand Adulterant Test Menu
