Laws and Regulations • Laws and regulations are necessary and need to be followed • The Petroleum Law sets out the basic rights and obligations • The provisions of the Law expanded and supplemented in the Regulations for Petroleum Operations. • The Exploration and Production Contract, the legal document between the Government and the concession holders • Bureaucracy may, however, be a stumbling block • Good communication with authorities mandatory!
