Solidfood and beverages When it comes to eating and drinking, one must be careful of the verb to use  • It is correct to say « I will eat a soup » and « I will drink a coffee »   • It is not correct to say « I will take a soup » nor « I will take a coffee »  • The thing is… • We take something in our hand • But we have something when we ingest it
