  1. Harry Potter and the Goblet of FireJ. K. Rowling2000Realistic Fiction Miklo B. 5th period

  2. Setting • This book had started at talkative Little Hangleton and the time was fifty years after a day break on a summer morning when it says what it is about. It is important because a evil wizard named Lord Voldemort who was very close to death had started to make a plan to kill a young boy who could defeat him. If it didn’t start this way nobody would know where Lord Voldemort was and know what his plan is.

  3. Characters

  4. Conflict The conflict of this story is man verses man, man verses nature, and man verses society. Man verses man is Harry Potter verses the other school champions. Man verses nature is the tasks with mermaids, dragons, and giant insects.

  5. Summary of Plot At first Harry has a dream about a muggle meeting Lord Voldemort. Next he goes to his school of witchcraft and wizarding. After the headmaster announced about the Triwizard tournament everybody was to go to the entrance hall to meet the other schools students while they enter in their name for it. Then somebody enters in Harry’s name in the Goblet. He can’t back out because of the invisible Goblet contract.

  6. Theme The theme for this book is mythical creatures and magic. Text Evidence: “I reckon a couple drops of Aging Potion might do it, George. . . .” Page 189 Text Evidence: “This is a Hungarian Horntail dragon.” Page 327 Text Evidence: “Stand aside! I will kill Him! He is mine!” Page 669

  7. Point of View This books point of view is third person. If the story was first person point of view all the objects that he saw we would have more detail, but because it is in third person point of view we don’t have much detail on what he saw.

  8. Symbolism A symbol for this book would be a maze with many twists and turn and dead ends. It affected the story by all the choices he made it ended up with him winning a tournament but it cost him a way to meet the one and only person that had tried to kill him.

  9. Recommendation The book is worth reading because if you like fiction, myth, and mystery it is the perfect book for you. If you don’t want to read this book you could always read Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone book one.
