  2. Independent Clauses: • Has a SUBJECT and a VERB, and can stand by itself as a COMPLETE sentence. • Ex. Matthew passed the basketball.

  3. Dependent Clause: Key Word • Depends on a buddy to be complete. Has a SUBJECT and a VERB, but it is not Strong!!! It is wimpyand can’t stand alone! • (Subordinate) • Key words:
