Group Activity • As members of the Wellness Committee you are concerned that that the resources provided for your wellness programme are limited. • Develop, at most, five key points to present to your manager to convince him/her to put more resources into the programme. Key Expectations from the Employer: • Employee to produce at their optimum. • Employee to serve their full productive period with the company – asset shelf life. • Employee must gives the company its competitive edge: • Quality – skills and experience • Quantity – attitude • Time – full asset value. • Sustainability - commitment Zimbabwe Business Council on AIDS

STRATEGIC RESPONSE • Risk management is about control. • Understand the nature and the threat of the HIV condition. • Quantify the risk. • Know your disease burden. • Establish risk entry points. • Response must address two critical areas: • Symptoms – direct relationships to the health conditions • Problem – indirect relationships to the health and psychosocial conditions. • Establish company response structure. • Establish company infrastructure. • Understand the business justification. • Company risk monitoring, evaluation and reporting strategy.
