  1. Cell Phone Etiquette Tyler Estes

  2. All Over the Place • Cell phones can be used virtually anywhere and this is why people need to know how and when to use them based on where they might be at the time.

  3. Text Messaging • Watch what is said in a text message because you might say something and the person take it in a completely different way causing confusion or even worse tension.

  4. Be Aware • Use the Caller ID to screen calls. If it is not that important at that time then you do not have to take that call. Be sure to call back at a later time though.

  5. Know the Time to Talk • If you are with other people and you have to take a call, be sure to keep it brief because it makes it seem as if your call is more important.

  6. Silence is GOLDEN!!! • Practice using the silence key without looking at your phone. This could come in handy when you’re out with that special someone or a client.

  7. Choose Wisely • Your ringtone says a lot about who you are. If you are out on a business meeting and RuckaRucka Ali starts playing, it’s not going to look good to the others there.

  8. When in Doubt • If you find yourself asking if you should cut your phone off or not, err on the side of caution and cut it off. I promise you won’t die if your phone is off for a little while.

  9. Be Respectful • If a person does that call you have to answer, put a little bit of distance between them and yourself, about two arms length or ten feet.

  10. Still Look Cool • If you use a bluetooth, take it out when you’re not using it. I promise you can still look cool without it.

  11. That’s All Folks!
