Business-to-Consumer (B2C) E-commerce • It is the direct trade between companies and end consumers. • This is the direct selling via the Internet/web. • Examples: • OFFLINE     - Mc Donalds selling me a Big Mac • b2c - Dell selling me a laptop • An online pharmacy giving free medical consultation and selling medicines to patients is following B2C model. • Amazon.com • Ebay.com • Dell.com,Overstock, Expedia and Orbitz

Business-to-Business (B2b) E-commerce • B2B e-commerce, in which businesses focus on selling to other businesses • is the largest form of e-commerce • It is like the manufacturer supplying goods to the retailer or wholesaler • Business to Government (B2G) e-commerce can be considered yet another type of e-commerce • OFFLINE    - Heinz selling ketchup to Mc Donalds • B2b - Intel selling micro processors to Dell • An example of a B2B application might be between Ford and Firestone. Ford builds cars and needs to deal with a business to manufacture, buy, and ship all of its tires for all of its automobiles. Thus, Ford and Firestone would have a B2B relationship.

Peer-to-Peer (P2P) E-commerce • It is a technology in itself which helps people to directly share computer files and computer resources without having to go through a central web server. • To use this, both sides need to install the required software so that they can communicate on the common platform. • To date, the most widely used p2p networks are Bit Torrent • The business models that support p2p commerce are unusual, in many cases illegal, • Examples: Kazaa, Nepstar • Software: FastTrack,Shareaza,BitTorrent, Limewire • A common Example(Remote access and desktop sharing but not p2p network even this is complete solution for two or more clients(systems) ): www.teamviewer.com
