  1. Coulex Analysis Code – GOSIA: Current Status of Development Paweł Napiorkowski (HIL UW -Warsaw) INTAG workshop, GSI, May 24-25, 2007

  2. Overview • What the GOSIA is. • GOSIA2 • GOSIA Manual • Interpolation can make a problem(polynomials vs. spline) • PIN option for GSI experiment INTAG workshop, GSI, May 24-25, 2007

  3. SIGMA available spectroscopic data (, BR, ) MINIMALIZATION PROCEDURE Errors estimation set of matrix elements shape parameters for individual states Quadrupole rotational invariant sum rules GOSIA COULEX Analysis Scheme Measured yields Experimental setup geometry:particle and  detectors Level scheme INTAG workshop, GSI, May 24-25, 2007

  4. GOSIA2 • GOSIA2 is intended to handle both target and projectile ”simultaneous” excitation with common normalization coefficients • ”Simultaneous” inclusion of the lines originating from the second partner and usually known spectroscopic data makes it possible to achieve a unique solution for exotic case. • For details – see upgraded manual INTAG workshop, GSI, May 24-25, 2007

  5. GOSIA HomePage @ HIL http://www.slcj.uw.edu.pl/en/81.html http://web1.pas.rochester.edu/~cline/Research/ INTAG workshop, GSI, May 24-25, 2007

  6. GOSIA mailing list To subscribe: send an e-mail to majordomo@slcj.uw.edu.pl a text message: subscribe gosia To get help, consultancy, to request a change in code… Also: Magda Zielińska: magda@slcj.uw.edu.pl Paweł Napiorkowski: pjn@slcj.uw.edu.pl INTAG workshop, GSI, May 24-25, 2007

  7. Interpolation: be carefull • Internal conversion coeficient 13 June 2006: Corrected ICC description in OP,YIEL to include use of four point interpolation and increase in number of ICC energies to 50. • Integration:Using excessively fine meshpoints in the OP,INTG step or an excessive number of subdivisions may cause convergence issues. INTAG workshop, GSI, May 24-25, 2007

  8. Polynominals Splines n=5 n=21 Polynominals vs. splines Expect a new option SPL in GOSIA1_002 soon (June 2007) INTAG workshop, GSI, May 24-25, 2007

  9. Segmented annular Si detector (position and energy?) (Θ,φ) (Θ,φ) COULEX with slow down beams • Event by event reconstruction: • to group the same scattering angle • to crate gamma spectrum for a given scattering angle Ge Target Ge INTAG workshop, GSI, May 24-25, 2007

  10. ”Virtual” particle detector M.Zielińska, 44Ar @ GANIL INTAG workshop, GSI, May 24-25, 2007

  11. ”Virtual” Detector Model for GOSIA • PIN option useful to describe very difficult shapes of the particle detector • The idea was successfully tested • Problem: σp(Θ,φ) is not Rutherford’s • But can be measured (e.g. downscaling) • Modification of PIN option in necessary -weight parameter has to be appliedto integration procedure (will be ready after summer 2007) INTAG workshop, GSI, May 24-25, 2007

  12. Experiment – a physics case • Something old, something new… • Known - to test the procedure • Unknown & exotic: to have a discover • 100Mo &102Mo INTAG workshop, GSI, May 24-25, 2007

  13. Low laying 0+ in Mo isotopes INTAG workshop, GSI, May 24-25, 2007

  14. Shape evolution in Mo isotopes M.Zielińska, K.Wrzosek,… INTAG workshop, GSI, May 24-25, 2007

  15. What is a deformation of 102Mo? ? 98Mo ? INTAG workshop, GSI, May 24-25, 2007
